Who We Are
Community Literacy Events is a dedicated 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to fostering educational and personal development in under-resourced communities. Our team is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children and families by providing access to high-quality educational programs and resources. Since our founding, we have grown into a recognized leader in youth development, partnering with schools, community centers, and other non-profit organizations to reach those who need us the most.
What We Do
At Community Literacy Events, we focus on three main areas:

Literacy: We offer a variety of literacy programs designed to enhance reading and writing skills among children and adults. Our goal is to promote a love for reading and improve literacy rates in the communities we serve.

Social-Emotional Learning (SEL): Our SEL programs are designed to help participants develop crucial life skills such as emotional regulation, empathy, relationship-building, and responsible decision-making. Through interactive workshops, group discussions, and hands-on activities, we aim to equip individuals with the tools they need to navigate life’s challenges and build healthy, supportive relationships.

Physical Fitness: We believe in the power of sports and physical activity to improve overall well-being. Our popular tennis initiative provides children with opportunities to develop their physical fitness, learn teamwork, and build self-discipline. These programs also serve as a platform to integrate SEL principles, creating a holistic approach to youth development.
